This course is suitable for those who have already completed the level 2 Certificate in Photography or have a good level of photographic experience. If you are unsure of the level you are currently working at, please contact the course tutor.

You will need a very good working knowledge of your DSLR camera and be able to capture good exposures under different shooting and lighting conditions. You will also have a good understanding of different lenses and photographic equipment. Experience with image editing is desirable but not essential as tuition will be given in class.

The course will explore a variety of different genres to help you improve your photographic skills. Image editing will also be looked at to enable you to get the most from your images. There will be an option at the end of the course for you to submit a portfolio of images to the Royal Photographic Society. If your submission is successful, you will be awarded Licentiate Membership of the Society.
