This course is suitable to those who have completed the Beginners level (Entry level) in the language or have a comparable level of language learning (60 hours minimum). The SEG Level 1 Award 'Reading and Writing' and 'Speaking and Listening' qualifications achieved over the course of a year will cover a range of tasks and interactive activities. You will cover a wide range of topics utilising the present, past and future tenses. This is done through topics related to holidays and travelling in the country, such as: describing future and past holiday and travel experiences; booking tables or accommodation, making complaints; buying tickets for and gathering information regarding public transport; key cultural aspects and tourist information. You will work in pairs, groups and individually. Your tutor will continually observe and support you and give you regular feedback about your progress. You will compile a portfolio as evidence of your learning for the qualifications. You will be able to join this course in September and January. Upon successful completion of this course, you can progress to the Intermediate level. Note: Your language level will be assessed by the tutor before your place on a course is confirmed.
