What's it all about?
This course is suitable for those who have completed the Improvers level (Level 1) in the language or have a comparable level of language learning (300 hours minimum).

You will be able to join this course in September (12 weeks), January (11 weeks) and April (10 weeks). You can enrol for a single term or multiple terms subject to availability. The price shown is for the full academic year.

Your language level will be assessed by the tutor before your place on a course is confirmed.

The course will cover a wide range of topics utilising the present, past and future tenses; complex sentence structures; expressions of intention; using prepositions, adjectives, and adverbs. This is done through topics related to holidays and travelling in the country. You will compile a portfolio as evidence of your learning for the qualifications. Teaching and assessment methods include a range of tasks, as well as activities and games to develop your vocabulary and understanding of grammar and syntax in a range of situations. You will work in pairs, groups and individually. Your tutor will continually observe and support you and give you regular feedback about your progress.

The SEG Level 2 Award 'Reading and Writing' and/or 'Speaking and Listening' qualifications can be achieved in this course, depending on your starting point and progress during the course. You will compile a portfolio as evidence of your learning for the qualifications.

Upon successful completion of this course, you may progress to the Advanced level.
