This course is suitable for those who are confident in their computing and are familiar with using Microsoft Office. Computer experience is required, and you should have a reasonable command of the English language. You will use a range of ICT tools to work through tasks and follow instructions to solve problems and reach given solutions. Your tutor will by practical activity and demonstration. You will receive booklets and sample exercises, with one-to-one help as appropriate. This is a blended learning course, which means there will be set tasks to complete in between class sessions. You will be assessed by means of practical tasks done in class and marked by your tutor. You will be encouraged to work at the level appropriate to you as an individual. All materials for your course will be provided by your tutor, but please bring a pen and notepaper as you will probably find it useful to take extra notes. The topics covered include: Managing information storage, Safety and security practices, Using search techniques to locate and select relevant information, Use Microsoft 365 applications, Combining information within a publication for a familiar audience and purpose.
