What's it all about?
This is the first course in the photography line up and is suitable for absolute beginners. If you have a camera that you don’t know how to use, then this is the course for you. The course will cover basic theory to get you started and explain what all the menus and buttons are used for.  In editing, we shall show you simple techniques to bring out the best in your images using Adobe Photoshop. By the end of the course you will have practised controlling exposure, initially with semi-automatic modes leading up to full manual mode.  Classwork will be supplemented with at least two fun photoshoots, one of which will be on a Saturday morning at an English Heritage site and the other at Newcastle Quayside to practice night photography and light trails.

You will be able to join this course in September (12 weeks), January (11 weeks) and April (10 weeks). You can enrol for a single term or multiple terms subject to availability. The price shown is for the full academic year.
